    Tips From Mom

  1. When making a batch of cupcakes, and you find you don't have enough batter to fill the wells, put water in the empty spaces to have an even heat flow for the other cupcakes.

  2. Blueberries are leaders in antioxidants. They have about 4 grams of fiber in one cup and plenty of vitamin C. With cancer-protective ellagic acid, benefits to brain and vision you can't go wrong by including these sweet blue wonders into your favorite recipes.

  3. Clean in your home the Natural way. Did you know that vinegar will kill 82 percent of mold? Forget about those chemical cleaners. Fill a spray bottle with straight vinegar and blast away at those mold and mildew areas. Clean the safe way.

  4. Instead of putting chemical filled lotions on your precious baby put a little olive oil in your hands and rub them on the baby after a bath. Not only will your child have nice soft skin you will have a calm baby relaxed from a massage from mommy. Olive oil is good for grown up skin too.

  5. Some like onions some don't, and the recipe your making calls for one. Try putting the onion in the food processor for a couple spins. Add it to the mix. You will end up with a nice very subtle flavor without the blast of onion taste and breathe making everyone happy.

  6. Cast iron pots are great, but you shouldn't use soap on them. Sprinkle them with some salt and wipe them clean with paper towels.

  7. If you have any whipped cream in the fridge make sure it is covered. Cream has fat and fats pick up flavors and odors from other items. So keep it covered to insure that creamy taste that you will be looking for the next time you use it.
